Shelby Cross is a Houston based culinary artist and the visionary behind The Tasting Haus—a curated culinary studio where flavor, culture, creativity, and connection collide.
With over six years of experience in catering, private dining, and hospitality, Shelby has built a reputation for creating elevated, flavor-forward experiences that go beyond the plate. Her work is deeply rooted in Southern hospitality, where food is more than a meal; it’s a moment of togetherness, a reflection of culture, and a way to bring people closer.
A graduate of the Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts, Shelby blends classical training with intuitive creativity, developing dishes that are both refined and soulful. Her culinary perspective is shaped not only by technique, but by a natural, God-given passion for serving others through food.
Her work has been recognized across Houston and beyond, including nominations for Taste of Success: Best Food Business in Houston, recognition as one of the Top Business Women to Watch in 2024, and features in filmed culinary segments and live experiences.
Beyond the table, Shelby’s impact extends into the community through her work as a Culinary Artist , where she leads hands-on culinary programming, educational experiences, and community-centered activations designed to bring people together through food.
